Visiting the New York Bethel locations

Wallkill, Warwick, and Patterson are the three world-headquarters campuses in New York State. Many of the friends plan a visit at least once — to tour the facilities, meet Bethelites, or share in the spiritual encouragement. This guide covers logistics, drive times, and where to stay nearby.

The three campuses at a glance

Warwick (world headquarters) in Warwick, NY is the main campus and the only location with regular public tours. It sits on roughly 250 acres about 50 miles northwest of New York City.

Wallkill in Wallkill, NY is the printing and educational complex, about 25 miles north of Warwick. It hosts the Watchtower Educational Center and is a common stop for friends taking the longer Bethel itinerary.

Patterson in Patterson, NY houses the Watchtower Educational Center for Gilead and school programs. It is about 40 miles east of Warwick across the Hudson River.

Planning your tour

Tours are free and run most weekdays. Reserve a tour slot online ahead of time — Warwick especially fills up months in advance during spring and summer. Plan on roughly 2 to 3 hours per campus, plus drive time between them.

A common rhythm: day one tour Warwick, day two drive up to Wallkill or across to Patterson. Two full days is enough to see all three at a relaxed pace.

Getting there

The closest major airports are Newark (EWR) at about 60 miles to Warwick, and Stewart International (SWF) at about 25 miles — small but very convenient when flights are available. New York's JFK and LaGuardia are also workable but add an hour of driving.

A rental car is the simplest way to move between the three campuses. Public transit in the area is limited and rideshare coverage can be thin outside of Warwick village.

Where to stay

Many of the friends prefer to stay with other Witnesses while visiting Bethel — it adds to the spiritual side of the trip and often turns into lasting friendships. Hosts in the area regularly welcome travelers for one or two nights between tours.

Tips for a spiritual visit

Bring a notebook — the exhibits at Warwick and Patterson move quickly and there is more there than most visitors expect.

Try to attend a meeting at a local congregation while you're in the area. Many travelers say it is the highlight of the trip.

Dress for touring: business casual is appropriate, and you'll be on your feet for a few hours at a time.
